While forecasters are predicting a quieter hurricane season in 2019, homeowners should still take steps to prepare their homes and families for the worst. Sunday marks the start of Hurricane Prep Week, when many Americans will begin preparing for whatever weather may come their way. For the third consecutive year, Cummins will observe Hurricane Prep Week by sharing prep tips with homeowners, which includes the importance of having a plan for backup power.

We kick things off this Wednesday, May 1 with a satellite media tour hosted by meteorologist and disaster prep expert, Cheryl Nelson. We have interviews booked in 12 markets, as well as interviews with 3 national syndicates. We will direct homeowners to cummins.com/hurricaneprep for more information, including how to locate a Cummins-authorized dealer. Please be prepared for potentially higher-than-usual call volume.
