Cummins is Proud to Help a Gold Star Family on This Season of Military Makeover

Sergeant Daniel J. Patron served more than a decade in the U.S. Marine Corps, earning The Purple Heart and The Bronze Star Medal for his heroic service. On August 6, 2011, Sergeant Patron was killed in action in Sangin Valley, Afghanistan. Dan’s wife, Cody, and young daughter, Layla, were learning to live with this loss when the family was dealt another challenge: Hurricane Michael destroyed their Panama Beach, FL-home in October 2018.

Cummins and Military Makeover, a home improvement series dedicated to helping veterans and their families, partnered up to help the Patrons by renovating the family’s home. Many repairs and improvements were made, including the addition of a Cummins QuietConnect home standby generator installed by local dealer, Ronco Generators.

Stay tuned to this season of Military Makeover to hear the family’s story and follow the renovation, from planning to the big reveal. Episode 1 premieres on August 30 at 7:30 a.m. ET on Lifetime. Past episodes can be streamed from Military Makeover’s website.
